Gummy Dynasty

Gummy-bear armies in a physical Unity battle sandbox: hop, yeet, catapult, cannon, a smashable wall, phones as commanders, and a belief field taken from Umwelt by contract. Playable in the editor; no build yet.

IN BUILD

What it is

Gummy Dynasty is a warfare toy box in Unity: gummy-bear soldiers in large physical battles. Open the project, press Play, and there is a pit with a smashable crate wall across the west road, a knockable tower, a wood catapult and an iron cannon. Spawn gummies, knights and scouts; yeet, knock, fire, lob and drop things on them; order a march west and watch the formation keep ranks, spread at the wall, pile through a hole and plant the flag.

Phones join over the local network by scanning a code on the screen: one phone commands (west, hold), another aims and fires the artillery. The host is authoritative, over plain local HTTP rather than Unity’s networking. Two further showcases, a castle and a train, compose the same hoppers, stacks and machines.

The cognition is taken from Umwelt by contract, not by import: observations carry a confidence where zero is a no-op, beliefs carry a value and a confidence, a parent tree with a reduce, dissipative roles by default, and self-tagging so a gummy does not learn from the consequences of its own actions. A document in the repository lists what was taken, what was adapted for a 60 Hz battle, and what was refused.

What exists today

Public source. Unity 6.3 LTS on a Personal licence. The project-state document, read 21 October 2026, lists the pit, castle and train showcases, phone join, one game mode (hold west), and an agent harness that benches behaviour without a Unity licence. Last pushed 17 August 2026.

Not done

Editor-only: no packaged build, no release, no independent playtest.

The representation ladder (crowd abstraction at scale) is parked by decision until the toy has been played.

Castle and train are first-pass showcases with no refine or collapse.

Next

Package a friend-test build, verify its controls on a clean machine, and record performance and player feedback.

Built with

Unity 6.3 LTS C# local HTTP (phones)
